Carl Christiansen (Grey hair on Left), at Sears Point, # 71

In the late 80's & 90's Carl Christiansen had the car painted Green and campaigned it with number "71" in California and Nevada in the late 1990's.  He later had the car completely rebuilt (1999) by Huffaker-Qvale in Sonoma, CA (1999-2000) as a Vintage Racer.  Carl Also raced at Laguna Seca, Sears Point and other historic events.  Notice single hoop rollbar.

David Zavetsky purchased in 2012 as #52 & #61

Purchased in 2012 by David Zavetsky, continued initially as car # 52 (2013) then as #61 (2014 after a repaint) and raced in the SVRA, VSCCA and VRG.  Campaigned at Watkins Glen, Road America, PittRace (BeaveRun) and other Vintage events.  Looking forward to INDY Speedway (Jun 14) and Mt Equinox, VT (2014).  VINTAGE RACE MAGAZINE featured David in July 2013 review of the May '13 SVRA Road America Viintage event. >>>>>>>

For 2014, Wearing new paint !  Looking forward to INDY !

The long 2013 Winter gave rise to new Livery & Upgrades.  Raced in SVRA Group 3, Daimler's 2.5 Liter V8 Hemi Head Engine has proved dead reliable.   Wearing British Racing Green with Yellow striping paint, new for the 2014 season, the Daimler shall wear number "61" this season.  Look out INDY, Mt. Equinox and Watkins Glen !!!!!  GMT set a new Gearbox for reliable racing in the VSCCA, VRG & SVRA.

Mike Hornerr (Alberta, Canada), #52

 

The Daimler was exported to Calgary, Alberta, Canada and raced by Mike Hornerr in Canadian venues as number "52".  Mike enjoyed the car but moved to a higher class racing a Corvette and sold the Daimler.

Hayes Harris, photo at wirewheel # 34

In the Mid 2000's the Daimler was owned & raced by Hayes Harris as number "34" at Sebring and Road Atlanta, possibly some SCCA events.  Also owned by Ferrel Preston and Michael Jacobs who did not race the Daimler.  Hayes Harris 

Car was Originally (in the 60's & 70's) off White then Yellow (under the original paint) and maintained in the 70's by Rimmssussels (sp?) Garage in Elkhart Lake.  The street car raced open events in the 70's (Road America ?) and was later moved out west and raced in CA.  Car was bought by Carl Christiansen in the 80's and built as a Vintage race car by Huffaker-QVale in Sonoma, CA in the late 90's.  Racing at Laguna Seca, Sears Point, Sebring (by Hayes Harris) and many other Vintage events and Hillclimbs, and 3 other owners before landing at Z race in PA.  Car is currently raced at Watkns Glen, Road America, Pitt Race, INDY (2014), etc....  What a fun car !!!!
